Karoline Mercier

Animal health technician

Description

Karoline always wanted to be a veterinarian, but when she started her animal health
technician program at Lionel-Groulx College in 2016, after completing a Bachelor’s degree in
Biology at the University of Montreal, she quickly understood that the profession of technician was made for her. She completed her technical program in 2019 with an unforgettable internship in South Africa for 1 month, as well as an internship at the Clinique de la Pointe where she was later hired. She has been employed by the clinic for 6 years now. Karoline loves the technical aspect of her work, which allows her to put into practice many of the skills she acquired
during her studies. However, what makes her most proud of being an animal health
technician is being able to help, prophylactically or therapeutically, all of our wonderful four-legged patients. For her, nothing is more rewarding than seeing a little furry friend relieved following a treatment she has administered. Her patients have no voice, but Karoline does everything she can to give them the best of herself.
